3月2日，美国东部地区1日遭受史上3月份罕见强大冰雪袭击。至2日晨，部分地区降雪超过30厘米。恶劣天气和大量降雪导致多所学校被迫关闭、路面交通状况恶化、众多航班延误或取消。
